Journal of a voyage [microform]. 1871-1872.

Journal of a voyage on board the Queen of the Thames from Melbourne to Cape Town in 1871, including a description of her shipwreck off the Cape of Good Hope on 18 March. Also: description of the diarist's stay in South Africa, including Cape Town, after the shipwreck, and journal of the continuation of the voyage from Cape Town to England in the S.S. Briton. Also: journal of the return vouage from London to Melbourne in the S.S. Northumberland in 1871-1872. Includes photographs and other illustrations of people and places connected with the voyages, and two prgrammes for a theatrical performance given on board the Northumberland.
